Oakley sought after the creative technology Mr. Grullon is known for. The collaboration has resulted in the conceptualization and prototype use of RFID within Oakley products. RFID chips were embedded in the eyewear at manufacturing and were encoded with the owner’s specific product information and ownership verification.

In select retail stores customers were invited to stand in front of a screen. Tailored to each specific eyewear option, the screen automatically detects the specific product detail and presents the user with an audio/video experience simulating the natural environment best suited for their selection.
